Welcome to the Finger Lakes Council, Boy
Scouts of America. The council was founded in 1924 but there is
evidence that Scouting was happening as early as 1912. We cover a
four county area in the heart of the Finger Lakes Region. As of
the end of 2006 the Finger Lakes Council serves 3388 youth in 136
units. The Council is divided up into 3 districts: Kanadesaga
(Yates, Seneca and eastern Ontario counties), Arrowhead (western
Ontario county), and Iroquois (Wayne county).
The Finger Lakes Council takes the health & safety of our Scouts very seriously. Our Health & Safety/Risk Management Committee has developed monthly bulletins that are distributed to all units. You can view them here, the information is good even if you are not a member..........yet. Check out our NEW full scale Scout Shop for all your Uniform & Program needs:
We are open Monday - Friday, 8:30 am
- 6:00 pm. You can purchase your uniforms,
patches, handbooks, t-shirts, hats, and other scouting related items at
the Council Service Center at 3685 Pre-Emption Road in Geneva. You may obtain an application form below, but it will need approval from a Scouting unit. Call 315-789-1166 or email office@fingerlakescouncil.org for a unit contact in your area. |

September is the time when the Finger Lakes Council organizes school presentations to families interested in joining, held in most elementary schools in our four county area (Ontario, Yates, Wayne, and Seneca). Your son will be given a flyer with details for these presentations.
