Dinner Background:  Since 1975 the Finger Lakes Council has been hosting a prime rib dinner with all the trimmings in an effort to fund their operating budget.  Since 1976 the artwork of  the renowned Yolanda Fiorentino Schofield has also been a focal point.  In recent years her pen and ink drawings of Camp Babcock-Hovey have been reproduced on various handouts to attendees.  In 2001, the Finger Lakes Council established the Distinguished Citizen Award for citizens of our four-county service area (Ontario, Seneca, Yates and Wayne Counties) who exemplify outstanding citizenship and Scout-like qualities.   These individuals and in some cases, families, are excellent role model citizens for others to emulate and celebrate.

Held in early February on a Saturday evening (social time 5:30 pm, dinner 6:30 pm) attendance is generally 250+ participants features a dinner program created with over 60 journal ads from area businesses and individual well wishes.  The program includes a silent auction which has been highly successful with baskets of goodies, art, weekend getaways, merchandise, etc. generated from area businesses.
