Past Distinguished Citizen Award Honorees for 2001

Carl W. Fribolin -  Is a retired president of Seedway, Inc. in Hall, NY, is past president of the Finger Lakes Council, Boy Scouts of America.  He was instrumental in securing the funds to build the Council Service Center in Geneva and is trustee of the Sprague Fund that maintains the center.  Fribolin has also been heavily involved in other civic and charitable organizations in the Finger Lakes area, including the Smith Opera House, Keuka College, Geneva General Hospital and the Finger Lakes Health Care Foundation.  Mr. Fribolin spearheaded the drive to renovate the Smith Opera House in Geneva which provides a major source of cultural activities for the area.

Christopher N. Iversen His business interests include Iversen Construction, Niels Iversen Lumber Company, Chrisanntha, Inc. and the Canandaigua Lady.  He has also been active with such Finger Lakes organizations as Geneva General Hospital, the Rushville Health Center, the Masons Local, the Gorham Rotary Club and the United Methodist Church of Gorham.  Chris has assisted with coaching youth basketball at Marcus Whitman Schools. An Eagle Scout himself, Chris has been a long time friend and supporter of the Finger Lakes Council, BSA.
