Outings are the backbone of the Scouting program.  We are very fortunate, the Finger Lakes area has numerous camping and outdoor activities at our fingertips.  A "Where to go Guide" is now available on line, thanks to the Ganeodiyo Order of the Arrow Lodge.  This guide serves as a reference tool for Scouting policy regarding these outdoor activities and informs leaders about awards and recognitions provided by the Boy Scouts of America for camping, hiking, conservation, historical trails, and other outdoor activities.

Camp Babcock-Hovey is a wonderful camp because the Finger Lakes Council is blessed with many dedicated volunteer leaders that keep the camp's infrastructure in good shape.  The Council Properties Committee has developed a list of projects that a unit can adopt/commit to do. Take a look at the "Projects List" to help enhance camp.  If you are interested contact Hank Roenke (315)789-1676 or hroenke@localnet.com.  Thank you for working with the youth of the Finger Lakes Council.

Do your part to help with the upkeep of Camp, attend Beaver Days.  Beaver Day is generally scheduled for 2 Saturdays in June and 1 Saturday in October.  There is great fellowship and a hearty meal, which leaves you with a good feeling that you helped this camp continue to provide a quality program for our youth.  During the Spring Beaver Days your work crew can camp for free, plus youth will earn Hovey Bucks to spend at the camp t-post during summer camp.

Properties Committee Talent Survey  -  Please consider adding your name and talents to our resource list.  We will try our best to match you with your talents on Beaver Days and for projects as they come up.  This way, we can use your valuable skills to build “sweat equity” in our beautiful Camp Babcock-Hovey, our council, and Scouting!  This keeps Scouting and camping affordable for all
