Resident Camp 2008 Cost:
$205/camper, a $40 deposit is due by May 9 Island Fun! Get ready for a voyage to Webelos Island and a week full of ISLAND FUN! You’ll be busy with all these activities….archery, BB guns, swimming, hiking, sports, games, crafts, cooking, leather, woodworking and more!! The VERY popular, EARLY morning “Polar Bear” plunge is back this year for those brave enough to participate!! Evenings are filled with campfires, sport challenges and special events!! You’ll meet many new friends and enjoy spending time with old friends! The leadership at Webelos Resident Camp consists of experienced scouting volunteers interested in sharing the values of scouting with your son. While scouts are at camp they share a tent with a buddy and are part of a “den”. Our days are filled with programs activities and special events with time built in for rest and quiet activities as well. Scouts participate as waiters for their tables during meals and learn about the duty roster for various in site duties. Daily flag ceremonies are held, grace is recited before each meal and a vesper service is held Thursday evening. Upon registration for camp you will be sent a packet of information including a Class 3 Personal Health and Medical Record which must be completed, signed by a physician and brought with you on the first day of camp. Each scout receives a Webelos Resident Camp T-shirt and a camp patch. Adults attending will also need to fill out a FL Class 3 Personal Health & Medical Record. Adult
volunteers are welcome to celebrate with us! Refund Policy. Deposits are non-refundable but may be transferred to another Scout within the Pack. Camp refunds, exclusive of deposits, will be issued only under the following conditions: 1) *Valid medical reasons, certified by a camp health officer or family physician. 2) Unavoidable family emergency. 3) Required summer school attendance ($25 of Day Camp fees are non-refundable. Requests for refunds must be received in writing prior to September 1, 2008)*Sudden illness or hospitalization. Vacation plan changes do not constitute an emergency |
